REFUSE DISPOSAL

The Selectmen’s Office has recently mailed a letter informing the taxpayers that Hebron will no longer be participating in the Hebron-Bridgewater Refuse District.  The letter outlines the options for future trash disposal. If you are unable to contact the Selectmen’s Office during scheduled office hours you may contact the office via e-mail at hebronnh@metrocast.net.  In the e-mail please include the property owner’s name, the physical address of the property, choice of service (Bestway or Town of Bristol or both), phone contact information, and an e-mail address. The Selectmen’s Office will add you to the sign-up list. As information is available it will be posted on the website.

Town of Bristol Station stickers are now available at the Selectmen’s Office.  You may pick the stickers up between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. If you are unable to pick up the stickers, you may send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Town of Hebron, PO Box 188, Hebron, NH 03241.

A representative from Bestway Disposal will be delivering the 64 gallon toters between March 30 and April 1. If you have not signed up for this service by March 29th, the receptacles will be delivered at a later date. 

Seasonal residents:  Please contact the Selectmen’s Office once you arrive in order to begin curbside pick-up

Bestway Disposal curbside pick-up service: refuse containers will be emptied every Monday (unless noted as a Holiday). Containers must be by the edge of the road by 7:00 a.m.

Holidays will be posted on the website - pick-up will be Tuesday.

The results of the Special Town Meeting on January 20th 2011 are:

The Town of Hebron voted, 64 yes - 24 no, to withdraw from the Hebron-Bridgewater Regional Refuse District and accept the Amendment to the Agreement as amended. In addition, the Town voted 2 - 1, to use a combination of the Town of Bristol Transfer Station and Bestway Disposal as the means to dispose of trash. Until the terms of the contracts are finalized and all the residents can be notified, Hebron residents may continue to use the H-B Refuse District. More information will be announced as soon as it is available.
