Charles L.D. Bean Sanctuary
Charles L.D. Bean donated this 25 acre parcel to the town in 1971 to preserve the view of Hebron Bay and the surrounding area.
The property is located on the lake side of North Shore Road approximately 1/2 mile from Hebron Village near the Cockermouth River.
Restrictive covenants placed at the time of donation do not allow for development or any additional trails other than the current snowmobile trail through the property to access the lake. Per Mr. Bean's wishes, the land is to remain unaltered keeping the property wild and scenic.
