How often and when will I be billed?

There are two property tax bills per year. The first bill of the year is an estimate, based on one-half of the previous year's tax. Your assessment may change if you happen to be one of the lucky taxpayers that the assessors visit in order to comply with state assessing laws. First tax bill is printed and mailed in June and is due in July each year. The tax rate is reset in the fall by the State of New Hampshire DRA. The final bill is calculated using the new rate multiplied by your property's assessed value less any credits/payments/abatements made to the first bill. These bills are printed and mailed in November and bills are usually due in December. Exact date depends on how quickly the State Of NH sets the tax rate.
