Motor Vehicle Registrations
Per NH law (RSA 261:148), your previous registration is required to transfer a registration/plate to a new vehicle.
If you are new to New Hampshire and would like to register your vehicle, please provide proof of ownership. If the vehicle is year 2000 or newer, you will need to retitle your vehicle in New Hampshire.
At the request of the State of NH-DMV, please be prepared to present your photo identification for all motor vehicle transactions.
